William Wilson, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan:
"Writing from Punnichy, Sask, where this A.M. I received at your hands the precious evidence of fellowship with us in the work of the Lord in these parts. My grateful thanks for this sweet token of Love and care toward us in these parts and the Lord richly reward his stewards who by their exercise make such communication possible at your hands.
This district is one of the favoured ones in this Province this year for the crops are wonderful and the season is not a suitable one for aggressive work in the Gospel. Everybody is busy so the visit is but to strengthen the hands of the wee company and is also proving restful to the servant as the rest is needed for my throat has been giving some trouble of late so I’m hoping the quiet will prove of lasting blessing and give fitness for the work anticipated of which I’ll write you later for a busy fall is anticipated.
I had the joy last Lord’s day of baptizing two, husband and wife. This proved a happy season and at night the meeting in the local theater was a large and very interesting one but without visible results of blessing such as we always hope for. Another baptism is anticipated this coming Lord’s day so it is a joy to see such exercise among the people of God. The field here is a new one and blessing has accompanied our past efforts in conversions. The assembly is small and the place is a difficult one to work because of a large Nazarene following also another so-called Church of God."
