• July: LOI: Assembly Homes Hold Conference: "Under date of June 1, 1948 a conference for members of the boards and staffs of the several homes for the care of the aged and infirm was held in Evangel Hall, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Representatives from the following homes were present:
