The Assemblée chrétienne évangélique at Hauterive, Quebec, likely began in 1979. It apparently started due to the arrival in the area of a young man, Raynald Carbonneau, who had recently come to know the Lord through the influence of believers at Montmagny. Meetings were held in homes or in a local school. Its existence is noted in the pages of News of Quebec (1980-1983). M. Carbonneau was replaced as correspondent by Renaud Larrivée (1981-1983). By 1991, the latter was correspondent at Baie-Comeau. How long the assembly at Hauterive actually carried on is unknown.
