Alvin Trauger Landes

Alvin Trauger Landes was born February 6, 1926 in Pipersville, PA the son of Oliver Moyer Landes and Annie M. Trauger Landes (b. 1885) who were married on Nov. 1, 1902 in Bucks, PA. At some juncture, the family left the Mennonite community for the Brethren Assembly at Pipersville, then for Grace Gospel Chapel, Plumsteadville, PA where they raised their thirteen children. Alvin was employed as a glazer and glass installer for 35 years until retiring. Alvin married Mary Cressman Charles and they attended Grace Gospel Chapel for many years before joining the First Methodist Church of Perkasie. Mary was born Aug. 27, 1925 and died Feb. 1, 2016. They had three children:
- Susan Landes Crow married Austin Crow, and they live in Kutztown, PA
- Richard Landes lives in Quakertown, PA
- Dale Landes married Sally, and they live in Quakertown.
Mary Diehl Charles (1904-1929) and Wilson D. Charles (1898-1971), had a son named Wilson Dewey Charles Jr., who was born Sept. 29, 1923, and died Jan. 6, 1924 of Bronchial Pneumonia. No idea what relation.
