In 1904, there was an open brethren assembly in Salford, Ontario, which is east of Goderich. The correspondent was James Elsbrie (b. 1851 England, emig. 1872, @ 1904 Salford, ON, d. 1948 Ingersoll, ON). His wife was Mary Anne Gillard Elsbrie (b. 1854 Drayton, Somerset, England - d. 1931 Woodstock, ON), dau. of Joseph Gillard (b. 1827 Drayton, Eng. - d. 1909 Oxford, ON) & Elizabeth Millish Gillard (b. 1829 Wedmore, Somerset, Eng. - 1895 Elgin, ON). Later they were in fellowship at Woodstock Gospel Hall. Mary Anne was saved on July 1st, 1880 at the opening of Straffordville Gospel Hall.
