Fred Allison Thompson
Fred Thompson was the primary founder of an open brethren assembly called Christians at the Gospel Hall in Augusta, ME prior to 1943, and introduced to the Brethren in the 1910's via his brother Walter Eric Thompson. His son James is a leading brother at this assembly today, among others.
Family
Fred was a son of Archibald John Thompson (b. Jul. 21, 1855 Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada and Hannah Jane Turner (b. 1861 St. John's, NFL), who were married Jan. 10, 1883 at Hannah's father's residence, officiated by Rev. Percival, in St. John's. The family emigrated to Boston, MA on June 25, 1888, and Hannah died in 1899 in Revere, MA.
