George Gould, Jr. LOI 1934-11
George Gould, Severn Bridge, Ontario, Canada:
"I received your first communication and have had it on my heart to write you when I would have some interesting matter to write. Now your second letter has come and I must answer it to thank you for the kind gift enclosed which I appreciate but I confess I am unworthy to have such sent on to me. However, I take it as from the Lord Himself and thank both Him and you, His kind messengers.
I feel I am not to be classed among the “Pioneers” but have been in touch with some who labor in real needy places so can tell of their work. I spent part of the summer with Brother S. Hamilton in Wisconsin in tent work and was rejoiced to see the Grace of God in the La Crosse district through the labors of the two brethren, Brother R. McCracken and S. Hamilton.
God came in and gave times of refreshing and revival to a small company of God’s people gathering on “The Ridge” by adding to their feeble numbers. We had the privilege of witnessing some 19 following the Lord in baptism in the Mississippi River. A large number of unsaved stood to witness the service and we preached the Gospel to them. A number were saved in the tent meetings which followed."
