Lionel Romeo Hebert, Sr.

Lionel was the father of Lionel R. Hebert, Jr., who served as a correspondent at Valley Bible Chapel in Madawaska, Maine for a decade in the early 2000's. He may also be an ancestor of John Hebert, who co-founded Garland Christian Fellowship, ME in the 2010's.


Ancestry

Lionel Sr. was the son of Damase Joseph Hebert (1880-1954 Madawaska, ME), son of Joseph Hebert (1847- d. 1920 Madawaska, ME who by 1860 was residing in Madawaska, unincorporated until 1869), son of Simon Hebert IV (b. 1806 ME - d. 1893 Madawaska, ME). Simon Hebert II (b. 1764 St. Charles de Bellechasse, QC, Canada - d. 1843 Madawaska, N.B.). His ancestor Jacques Hebert (b. 1596 Touraine, France - d. 1670 Port Royal, N.S.), a monk, may have been among the founders of Port Royal, N.S., which was the first capital of the Acadia Colony, the first French colony in N.S., which includes parts of present-day Maine.
