S. Hamilton LOI 1934-11
S. Hamilton, La Crosse, Wisconsin:
"Your letter to hand with the enclosed gift from Letters of Interest from the Home Field. Thank you for same in the worthy Name of the Lord Jesus Christ praying God will bless your effort for the spread of the Gospel in this needy country.
I have never written much about my wanderings here and there with the Gospel but the Lord has encouraged us from time to time as we seek to tell out the old, old story. The tent work this summer has not been very fruitful. The spring was much better. Brother R. McCracken of Cleveland, Ohio was with me. We had 7 weeks meetings in La Crosse and 11 in Nodine, Minn. Over 25 professed at these two places. Mostly from Dakotas and Ridge in Minn.
The tent has been up six weeks in Dakota some interested souls have come to the meetings and 3 have professed. George Gould, Jr. was with me for nearly four weeks. During his stay here our oldest girl was suddenly taken away from us by drowning, aged 11 years and 9 months. So we have had the bitter as well as the sweet."
