* "Our Record": In Sept. 1914, William N. Brennan (1870-1943) & Robert Milnes (1879-1926) preached in a tent here with encouraging interest. One who was saved here was Andrew Betts, whose grandson's wife Margaret Betts provided some of the history for the NB Gospel History at Gospelhall.org where much of this evangelistic history is derived.

** Frances McMullen Heidman's grandmother saved in 1886 at meetings held by George Hynmers (Boston, MA) while reading John 5:24, as per her mother Mrs. Isaac McMullen's recollections. Her grandmother held meetings in their home when preachers visited. By 1902, these meetings were held in Lakeville in the farmhouse of Flora MacNeil Howard, when moving from Black River, as per her son Donald Howard (New Bedford, MA).

* Eva Hayward of Baie Verte mentioned in Mr. McMullen's diary of 1923, as "happy in His unchanging love".

** "Barley Cake": John Martin & a Br. Mitchell had two weeks of meetings in Timber River in 1887 (8 mi. north of Tidnish), and baptized two. Ansley Goodwin also had meetings in 1906 near his home in Timber River with some interest, as per "Our Record".
** George Simpson broke bread in 1929 here with Henry Goodwin, Byron Strange & Ansley Goodwin.

** George Simpson founded this assembly after evangelistic work in Bayside, Dalhousie Junction & Jacquet River in the late 1880's. David Scott (brother-in-law of Robert Milnes (1879-1926) of Pugwash Junction) assisted Simpson @ Dalhousie Junction in 1891. David Scott also did meetings at Coates Mills & the Sherwoods at that time.
