History
Assemblee chrétienne de Grand'Mère, Mauricie, Central Quebec, Canada is a French open brethren assembly which began in 1977 as a result of two individuals, one reached through the radio broadcast La foi vivifiante and the other via that of Billy Graham. These were followed up and led to the Lord by workers from the Cap assembly some twenty-five miles south of Grand-Mère. Family members were soon won to Christ and cottage meetings began. In June of that year a meeting place was rented and the assembly was officially launched.  The Space was soon at a premium but the owner of the only place large enough would not rent to evangelicals. However, persistent prayer gained the day and the owner relented at the last possible moment.    The assembly’s current meeting place , seating 200 persons, was constructed in 1983.
