** With Christ: "'''Miss Nellie Eachus''' of Longport, N.J. on Jan. 20, age 102. Our dear sister was born in [[England]] in 1882 and was saved at the age of 17. A year later she was baptized and received into fellowship. In 1929, she came to the [[United States]] and in 1972, she entered the home at Longport. It could be said of Nellie that "she walked with God" as she lived her life to please Him. She placed the utmost value on the "Breaking of Bread" and during her long life, she was privileged to Break Bread for 84 years."

For 45 years she was in assembly fellowship in Donora, [[Pennsylvania|PA]] before coming to the Longport home in Oct., 1977. Her last years were quite a trial as she suffered much."

After many years in assembly fellowship, she came to the Longport Home in November, 1978. Miss Conaway was the sister of the late John Conaway whose wife is presently at the Home."

* Nina Stenhouse 1986 (1898-1986)
** T&T "With Christ": "Mrs. Nina Stenhouse of Longport, N.J. (formerly of Santiago, Chile) on Aug. 25, age 88. Our dear sister was born in [[Nova Scotia]]. For over half a century, Mr. and Mrs. Stenhouse pioneered for the Lord as missionaries in Chile and saw the hand of God in salvation and the formation of assemblies in that country. Both came to reside in the Home for Aged Christians in April of this year. She leaves behind her husband, an only son, two sisters and two brothers."
** pioneer missionaries to Santiago, Chile arriving in Dec. 1927, did radio work, wrote Spanish Gospel tracts, co-edited "Palabras Fieles". Authored "The Sin of Sectarianism", a volume of church history and doctrine. Also, "Counting on God", pub. 1976, an autobiography.
** LOI 1986-11: "'''Nina Stenhouse''', 88, of Longport, New Jersey, on Aug. 25th. Nina and her husband Andrew spent more than half a century as missionaries in Chile."

** With Christ: "'''Arthur Davenport''' of Longport, N.J. on Sept. 4, age 86. Our dear brother was born in Radcliffe, [[England]] and came to the [[United States]] at the age of 11. He was saved in 1934 and later received into fellowship in the old Atlantic City assembly (now Longport). For 50 years he was in this assembly and served as correspondent for some time. He was active in the early days of the beginning of the Home, where he came to live in 1983."

** With Christ: "'''Mrs. Emma Firm''' of '''Toronto, [[Ohio]]''' on April 14, age 97. Our beloved sister was saved at the age of 17 at Tilsonburg, [[Ontario]]. She was in assembly fellowship in Toronto and Steubenville since 1918 and at the Home at Longport, N.J. for the last 4 1/2 years. She was a faithful mother in Israel who will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. Firm was predeceased by her husband William in 1974 and by a son in 1986. She leaves three sons, one still unsaved, and a daughter in assembly fellowship. The large funeral was taken by Oswald MacLeod, with H. Clark speaking at the graveside."

** With Christ: "'''Mrs. Florence Conaway''' of Longport, N.J. on April 27, age 92. Our beloved sister was saved at the age of 24 after much soul distress. In 1926, she was united in marriage to John P. Conaway, well known servant of the Lord, to whom she was a true helpmeet until he was taken home in 1951. Mrs. Conaway had a good grasp of assembly truths and was steadfast in her convictions to the end. Her spirit of contentment and appreciation of the care given her in the Home was an inspiration to others. The funeral was taken by O.L. MacLeod, who was associated with Mr. Conaway in his early days."
