** c/o John Thomas "Tom" Dean @ 13 St. Paul St. +1904+(b. 1853 Anderson Co., [[South Carolina|S.C.]]), son of Major John Dean (b. 1831 SC - d. 1902 Tyler, Smith, TX) & Frances Clarenda Rice Dean (b. 1833 Anderson Co., S.C. - d. 1876 Tyler, Smith, TX); Frances was a daughter of Hezekiah Benjamin Rice III (1804-1836). *** Ordained in 1889 by the Baptist seminary in Louisville, [[Kentucky|KY]], and pastored a Baptist church in McQuirk, TX. He was introduced to the PB while there thru friendship with "Cowboy Wesley", and Dr. E.A. Martin, a local dentist. Dean & Martin started "Faithful Words" magazine in 1895 in J.T.'s homein Palestine, where he lived thru 1900+, and was living in Dallas by 1904, where he also had lived in 1860.
