Husband (1848): Abraham Finch (b. 1825 [[England|Eng.]]; emig. 1832; d. 1908). Abraham was registered in 1871 as a Baptist farmer & storekeeper, and may have remained Baptist. In 1848, Abraham was residing in Toronto, and Isabella in Vaughan (north of Toronto), their wedding was officiated by Ephraim Evans, a Wesleyan Methodist minister and witnessed by John Finch & John Duggan. In 1908, Dr. Augustus Wellington Partridge (1866-1951) of Burk's Falls did Abraham's autopsy. In 1897, Isabella was the contact for the Cecebe area (no meeting), Mrs. A. Walton held a meeting in Magnetewan. ** Rebecca Celesia Sawyer Walton +1897+ (b. 1851 Whitby, Durham, ON - d. 1934 North Bay, Nipissing, ON), daughter of Benjamin Sawyer (b. 1814 Dunham, Brome-Missisquoi, QC - d. 1887 Minden, Haliburton, ON) & Catherine Burhart Sawyer-Wallis-McCready (b. 1812 Sorel-Tracy, [[Quebec|QC]] - d. 1887 Minden, ON). Husband (1869 @ Coboconk, Kawartha Lakes, Victoria, ON): Arthur Edward Walton (1850-1925 Parry Sound, ON), son of Richard Walton (b. 1798 Isle of Wight, Eng. - d. 1864 Little Britain, Kawartha Lakes, Victoria, ON) & Sarah Brooks Walton (b. 1819 Consecon, Prince Edward, ON - d. 1899 Parry Sound, ON). In 1881, the family resided in Morrison, Muskoka, ON, and was Methodist. In 1891, Arthur was self-employed as captain of a steamboat, no religious affiliation, while Rebecca identified as PB. In 1901, two of their sons (William Walton & Edgar Walton) resided with them, as did a niece & nephew whom they adopted (Nellie Sawyer & Ernest Sawyer). William did not identify with a religion that year, while Edgar, Nellie & Ernest were PB. By 1911, Arthur was in fellowship with the PB, thru 1921, as was Rebecca. Children (including adopted):*** William A. Walton (b. 1875 ON) joined the PB by 1911, he was employed as a marine engineer in Magnetewan. Wife (1902 @ Parry Sound, ON): Caroline Alberta Taylor Walton (b. 1875 ON), daughter of Edward Taylor & Margaret Manson Taylor. Caroline identified as Methodist in 1911, as did their four children. By 1921, William identified with no religion, and his wife and children remained Methodist. By 1931, all had joined the UCoC. *** Capt. Walter Arthur George "Edgar" Walton (b. 1882 Sparrow Lake, Muskoka, ON - d. 1951 Port Loring, Parry Sound, ON). He captained a steamboat in the career path of his father, with a break in 1901 employed as a fireman. He identified as PB as early as 1891, and thru 1921, joining with the UCoC by 1931. Wife: Ellen "Nellie" Patterson Walton (b. 1879 Dunchurch/Whitestone, Parry Sound, ON - d. 1980), daughter of John Mark Patterson (b. 1852 Peel Twp., Wellington, ON - d. 1922 Dunchurch, Parry Sound, ON) & Sarah Taylor Patterson (b. 1859 Elora, Wellington, ON - d. 1947 McDougall, Parry Sound, ON). John & Sarah Patterson were PB as early as 1891, while residing in Whitestone, Parry Sound, ON remaining in that area (and PB) for the duration of their lives. Whitestone was previously known as Hagerman. *** Nellie "Ella" May Sawyer Dean (b. 1890 Stanhope, Haliburton, ON - d. 1978 Haliburton, Peterborough, ON), daughter of William Henry Sawyer & Sarah Louise Barry Sawyer. She was PB +1891-1901+, then CoE as was her husband's family. Husband: James Dean (1884-1965 Haliburton, ON), son of George Dean (b. 1848 Reigate, Surrey, [[England|Eng.]] - d. 1891 Haliburton, ON) & Ann "Annie" Weller Dean (b. 1848 Chipstead, Surrey, Eng.; m. 1869 St. Andrews, Kingswood-by-Reigate, Surrey, Eng.; d. 1925 Dysart, Haliburton, ON). *** Ernest Sawyer (b. 1892 Stanhope, ON), son of William Henry Sawyer (b. 1858 Fenelon Falls, Kawartha Lakes, Victoria, ON) & Sarah "Louise" Barry Sawyer (m. 1880 Stanhope, ON). Ernest was PB +1891-1901+, and Methodist by 1911. In 1911, he was employed as a steamboat fireman.
Nellie & Ernest Sawyer had three elder siblings, evidently not adopted by their uncle and aunt, Arthur & Rebecca (Sawyer) Walton:
 * Wilbert Thomas Sawyer (b. 1883 Stanhope, ON - d. 1939 Rathburn, Sudbury, ON). By 1901, Wilbert was living in Stanhope, adopted by Thomas Jones, Sr. (b. 1833 Milton Dameral, '''Devon''', Eng. - d. 1917 Stanhope, ON) & Elizabeth Jones (b. 1834 Devon, Eng.; m. 1853 Pancrasweek, Devon, Eng.; d. 1912 Stanhope, ON) who were CoE as early as their wedding. Wilbert became Presbyterian by 1911. At the time of his death, he was employed as a mining prospector. He was murdered on May 14, 1939 by a rifle shot to the heart.

In 1873, Rebecca Walton's brother Asa Sawyer married Emily Jane Thompson (b. 1854 ON) in Lindsay, Kawartha Lakes, Victoria, ON, both living in Brock Twp., GTA, Durham, ON. Asa was registered as a "B. Christian", Emily as Wesleyan Methodist, the wedding was officiated by Edward Roberts. A week beforehand, in the same place, Asa & Rebecca's mother Catherine married her 2nd husband, George Wallis (b. 1808 York, [[England|Eng.]]), both registered as CoE. George was a son of Thomas & Mary Wallis. Catherine & George were residing in Kawartha Lakes at the time, in the township of Mariposa.
