Husband: Robert Leland Whiteside (1923-1985 Clarksville, IA), son of Jesse Clark Whiteside (b. 1883 New Harmony, Pike, MO - d. 1939 Clarksville, IA) & Mabel E. Tennyson Whiteside (b. 1889 Clarksville, IA - d. 1971 Gardena, L.A., CA). In 1940, Marian was employed in Dayton, Butler, Iowa as a schoolteacher. Mabel's grandfather was William Tennyson (b. 1829 Yorkshire, Eng. - d. 1911 Clarksville, IA), who emigrated to the U.S. about 1849, spending the first six years traveling before settling in 1855 in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, credited as a pioneer of Linn County. He relocated ten years later in 1865 to Clarksville. William's wife was Mary Shields Tennyson (b. 1834 Yorkshire, Eng. - d. 1877 Clarksville, IA), her father Robert Shields (1809-1890) emigrated in 1851, settling in St. Joseph, MO until 1856 when he relocated to Black Hawk Co., IA and his later farm in 1873. Unknown if any relation to Alfred Lord Tennyson (1809-1892) although doubtful as they were from different areas of England. ** Ruth Agnes Hoel Aldrich (b. 1896 Minneapolis, MN - d. 1954 Northfield, Rice, MN). Husband (1915 @ Minneapolis, MN): Leslie Elmer Aldrich (b. 1889 Adair, IA - d. 1973 Rice Co., MN), son of Charles Elmer Aldrich (b. 1854 Thurston, Steuben, NY - d. 1936 Adair, IA) & Agnes Carney Aldrich (b. 1854 Richmond, Ottawa, ON - d. 1915 Adair, IA). Lester & Ruth's wedding was officiated by Dr. Stanley Burroughs Roberts (b. 1855 Phelps, Ontario, NY - d. 1933 Minn., MN) of Bethlehem German Presby. Leslie's 2nd wife (1955): Ruth Canner Aldrich (b. 1902 St. Paul, Ramsey, MN - d. 1994 Dakota Co., MN), daughter of Joseph Albert Canner (b. 1864 Milwaukee, [[Wisconsin|WI]] - d. 1940 St. Paul, MN) & Lydia Wilhelmina Hummel Canner (b. 1873 Cottage Grove, Washington, MN - d. 1951 St. Paul, MN). Wife (1941 @ Rice Co., MN): Blanche Taylor Aldrich (b. 1921 Randolph, Dakota, MN - d. 2018 Northfield, Rice, MN), daughter of William Edwin Taylor (b. 1893 Sciota, Dakota, MN - d. 1968 Rice Co., MN) & Edna Ardelle Turnacliff Taylor (b. 1897 Wilton, Waseca, MN - d. 1998 Northfield, MN).*** Carlisle Marshall Aldrich (1929-2019 Northfield, MN). Wife (1950): Barbara Jane Lindquist Aldrich. Carlisle graduated from the School of Agriculture at the Univ. of Minn. in 1947, then farmed lifelong west of his parents' home, as per his [https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/257881581 obit]. One of his favorite activities was attendance at a weekly Wednesday morning men's bible study at [https://emmauschurch.org/ Emmaus Baptist] where he was present at the day of his homegoing.

Wife (1926): Ruth Canner Aldrich (b. 1902 St. Paul, Ramsey, MN - d. 1994 Dakota Co., MN), daughter of Joseph Albert Canner (b. 1864 Milwaukee, [[Wisconsin|WI]] - d. 1940 St. Paul, MN) & Lydia Wilhelmina Hummel Canner (b. 1873 Cottage Grove, Washington, MN - d. 1951 St. Paul, MN). Ruth's 2nd husband was Sterling's sister's 1st husband Leslie Aldrich (1889-1973). Sterling was self-employed as a florist and garden nursery operator. His memorial was held at Grace and Truth Gospel Hall, 3701 S. 14th Ave., Minneapolis. *** Sherwood Wendell Hoel (b. 1927 Minn., MN - d. 2012 Apple Valley, Dakota, MN). Sherwood operated the family greenhouse. *** Leland "Lee" Franklin Hoel (b. 1930 Minn., MN - d. 1996 Stuart, West Palm Beach, FL). Wife (1953 @ Minn., MN): Joan Amelia Pinder Hoel (b. 1930 - d. 2021). Leland earned the rank of Corporal in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
