* Dr. Gerald "Jerry" Foster Hawthorne '''+1960-2010''' (b. 1925 Los Angeles, CA - d. 2010 Wheaton, IL), son of Robert Alexander Hawthorne (b. 1882 Didsbury, Lancashire, [[England|Eng.]] - d. 1952 Glendale, L.A., CA) & Evelyn Elizabeth Foster Hawthorne (b. 1899 Avalon, Catalina, L.A., CA - d. 1947 Visalia, Tulare, CA). Steve & Mary were commended towards a move to Cochabamba, Bolivia in July 1989. They lived with a Bolivian family for three months while studying Spanish, then acquired their own apartment, and Steve began medical work in a clinic. Half the time in the early years he spent teaching health care and preventative medicine to Bolivians thru the church, while also studying Quichua.
