Armagh, [[Northern Ireland|N.I.]] - d. 1938 Manchester, CT); wife: Alice Beatrice Muskett Serpliss (b. 1879 Abbey Hey, Manchester, Lancashire, [[England]] - d. 1955 Sarasota, [[Florida|FL]]). James emigrated to the U.S. in 1907, Alice in 1908. They were married on Oct. 29, 1908 at Scranton, [[Pennsylvania|PA]]. In 1910, James was living in Manchester, employed as a weaver at a silk mill. In 1918, James was residing in Hartford, and employed at the Underwood Typewriter factory, and still employed there in 1930, as an inspector, although his obit indicates he lived in Manchester 1910-1935, then moved to Hartford where he was living when he died. James died of a heart attack at the age of 63 while preparing to repair a veranda at 131 Summer Street in Manchester for James McIlduff. In 1931, Mr. Serpliss lived at 129 Summer St. He had two siblings, William Serpliss (N.I.), and Mrs. Jean Disney (Kingston, [[Ontario|ON]]. Children (surviving as of 1938):

William's parents married in 1881 at Belfast, [[Northern Ireland]], and may have lived in [[Vermont]] in 1882, but emigrated in 1904. George remarried at Cambridge, MA in 1929. In 1920, George was employed as a picker at a woolen mill, and William was employed as a foreman at a silk mill, where he still worked in 1930. Wife: Catherine Barber Marr McBride (b. 1890 Westerly, [[Rhode Island|R.I.]] - d. 1962 Manchester, CT), they were married in 1913 at the home of Catherine's parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Marr of Westerly.

Armagh, [[Northern Ireland]] - d. 1972 Manchester, CT). In 1917, Everett's father was employed at Underwood Typewriter. Wife: Margaret Naomi MacKenzie Glenney (b. 1919 Groton, CT - d. 2003 Windsor, Hartford, CT), daughter of Herbert Reid MacKenzie (b. 1880 West Derby, Liverpool, Lancashire, [[England|Eng.]] - d. 1949 Westerly, [[Rhode Island|R.I.]]) & Isabella Barbara Cowie Mackenzie (b. 1885 Aberdeen, [[Scotland|Scot.]] - d. 1977 Manchester, CT), who lived mostly in Groton, CT and Westerly, [[Rhode Island|R.I.]] before moving to Manchester in 1969. Relocated to East Hartford in 1952. Supervisor @ Pratt & Whitney 1929-1976. Later at Prospect Bible Chapel.

His mother was a member of Manchester Gospel Hall. Wife: Mabel Jean Long Jassie (b. 1919 Philadelphia, [[Pennsylvania|PA]] - d. 1991 Manchester, CT), daughter of Thomas William Long (b. 1889 Donegal, Ireland - d. 1949 Lower Merion, Montgomery, [[Pennsylvania|PA]]) & Jane Dunn Long (b. 1886 Ireland - d. 1934). Served in WWII in France in the U.S. Army with the Medical Corps., and a volunteer driver with the R.O.T.C.

Wife: Ruth Irene McAllister Staddon (b. 1926 CT), daughter of Robert James McAllister (b. 1898 Newry, [[Northern Ireland|N.I.]] - d. 1979 Manchester, CT) & Harriet Elizabeth Scott McAllister (b. 1899 Co. Down, [[Northern Ireland|N.I.]] - d. 1987 Manchester, CT). William served with the U.S. Navy during WWII, settling in Manchester after the War, and in Hebron 1975-1997. He worked for Travelers Insurance Co. 1946-1983.
