David was related to Francis & Opal Harmon two ways: His maternal grandfather's sister was Francis Harmon's wife Opal Ruth North Harmon (1887-1961), and his great-great-great grandfather William F. Harmon (1797-1854), who died while traveling on the Mississippi, was Francis' grandfather.
