Dr. Andrew G. Hamilton was a self-employed optometrist. He was raised Wesleyan Methodist thru 1871, of which year he was employed as a telegraph operator in Thurlow, ON.
Dr. Henry Allen Tupper (b. 1856 Washington, Wilkes, GA - d. 1927 Baltimore, MD) officiated Alex & Florence's wedding in D.C. in 1919. Edward A. Rule was best man, Miss Margaret E. Hamilton was maid of honor, Florence's uncle Ernest C. Morris gave her away, Miss Ingrid Westesson was musician.
Tupper served as VP of the Southern Baptist Convention, president of the NY Baptist Ministers' Conference, and held pastorates at Baptist churches in Harrodsburg, KY, Louisville, Brooklyn, NYC and Washington D.C., the latter being First Baptist of 16th & O Sts. 1919-1924. From 1922-1952, he was employed as a salesman with the Standard Lime & Stone Co., based in Baltimore, for their D.C. branch at 30th & K St. NW. He was also a member of the Washington Board of Trade 1927-1952. His church 1922-1952 was Fourth Presby.
