The Woodbridge store moved to a new location in 1933. Chris' sons Gilford and Herbert inherited the business after their father's death in 1942. Husband: Richard "Dick" Knapp Gorgas (b. 1933 Philadelphia, [[Pennsylvania|PA]] - d. 2004 Chatham, NJ), son of John Weaver Gorgas (b. 1903 Newark, NJ - d. 1994 Chatham, NJ) & Margaret May Knapp Gorgas (b. 1909 Honduras - d. 1983 Morganville, Monmouth, NJ). John Gorgas resided in Kenilworth, Philadelphia and Morganville, before moving to Chatham in 1985. He studied at Drexel Institute of Technology in Philadelphia, and was employed 45 years for Bell Telephone Systems, as a systems engineer specializing in military telecommunications switching at Bell Labs, and credited with several inventions.
