WBC has greatly valued its assembly heritage, and continues a number of its traditions, from elder leadership to breaking bread weekly, although it may also appeal to those seeking an independent Bible church. About 2003, in an effort to encourage assembly unity, the two morning services (Breaking of Bread and Family Bible Hour) were combined into one.
The assembly has also historically had at least one full-time resident worker, also serving as one of the elders, and typically have had Brethren background, but in 2015 the Lord sent a recent graduate of [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Master's_Seminary The Master's Seminary] in Los Angeles, a newcomer to the assemblies, who has faithfully served over a decade in expository preaching, see [https://westmountbiblechapel.ca/sermons/ WBC's website] for variety of series. David Aldom relocated to Peterborough in 2000, and has served on the elder team, and a correspondent for many years. He was also an administrator for a time on the administrative team from +2000-2005 at [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawartha_Lakes_Bible_College [Kawartha Lakes Bible College]].
A number of men of the assembly, known as "Chapel Men" meet every other Saturday morning from Sept-June for Bible studies and leadership training, and the "Women of Westmount" have a Wednesday morning Bible study for discipleship and prayer on Wednesday mornings Sept-May. More about WBC's ministries may be found on their [https://westmountbiblechapel.ca/about/ministries/ page] for that subject.
