Dunkerton (b. 1880 Dunkerton, IA - d. 1951 Des Moines, IA) & Florence Josephine Matthews Dunkerton (b. 1878 Linn Co., KS; m. 1935 Waterloo, IA; d. 1965 Des Moines, IA). Their wedding was officiated by the pastor of Burton Ave. Baptist of Waterloo.

Edgar was employed as a salesman for men's tailor-made shirts for many years in Waterloo, relocating to the assembly retirement home in Claremont, [[California]] just in February of 1960. In 1897, he lived in Garnett, [[Kansas]]. As early as 1917, he resided at 206 Leland Ave., which was inherited by his daughter Ruth prior to 1960. William R. Simpson (L.A., CA) officiated Edgar's memorial at Downing Avenue Gospel Chapel.
* Edgar Greeley Matthews '''+1927-1935+''' (b. 1869 Pleasanton, Linn, [[Kansas|KS]] - d. 1960 Claremont, L.A., [[California|CA]]), son of John Coleman Matthews (b. 1834 [[Indiana|IN]] - d. 1920 Des Moines, IA) & Malissa Rilwood Rhoades Matthews (b. 1839 Ottumwa, Wapello, IA; m. 1867 Brooklin, Linn, KS; d. 1917 Waterloo, IA). John Matthews was employed in 1880 as a cattle dealer. John & Malissa Matthews' wedding in 1867 was at the house of Caleb Rhoades, officiated by J.E. Whitman.
* 1st wife (1898 @ East Waterloo, IA): Kate Mae Blake Matthews (b. 1872/1873 Cedar Falls, Black Hawk, IA - d. 1911 Waterloo, IA), daughter of Thomas Blake (b. 1828 Butleigh, Somerset, Eng. - d. 1896 Waterloo, IA) & Isabella Tucker Blake (b. 1825 Butleigh, Eng.; m. 1850 Butleigh, Eng.; d. 1923 Cedar Falls, IA) in Oelwein, IA. Isabella moved to Cedar Falls in 1920. Edgar & Kate's wedding was officiated by Jerry Mosher. Thomas Blake was employed in Cedar Falls as a blacksmith as early as 1860. In 1911, Kate died suddenly after an operation earlier that day, while Edgar was away on business. Her three sisters all married into the Garrett family. Thomas & Isabella Blake were married in a CoE church in 1850, emigrating later that year to [[New York]], arriving on May 15 via the Cosmo ship sailing from Bristol intended for Auburn, NY. Isabella resided initially with Nancy Goff & Sarah Hamilton with C.F. & Susan Mowry. in Waterloo, Seneca, NY.
