==Pirate Piros family==Nicholas "Nick" Jim Pirovolicos "Piros" (not pirate, as I thought in 2013) was born on [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ikaria Ikaria] Island in the Aegean Sea southeast of Greece. He and his wife Opal raised their children in Scott City, Kansas where he owned the "Car Cafe". ''The Scott Republican'' reported in Jan. 5, 1922, "Nick Piros, the Car Cafe cook and proprietor, on west Fifth St. showed us a wedding anniversary cake, yesterday, that he baked for one of the Mexican boys, in honor of his first wedding anniversary. The cake was sure a fine looking piece of pastry and shows that Nick knows his business..  In 1950, Nick's son Jimmy and his wife Rachel, and their two toddler sons, resided on N. College in Scott City. Jimmy was employed washing cars at the local Conoco filling station, and Rachel was a homemaker. He had previously served 1942-1945 with U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Albert T. Harris. By 1952, their young family had moved to 1312 E. Ave. B in Hutchinson, which was several houses east of the Burson house, and the children were "very occasionally" attending the chapel. Jimmy died that year, leaving young (27-year-old) widow to raise their small children. By 1958, they had relocated to 510 E. 7th Ave. (+1958-1963+), and Rachel was employed as a notary public at First National Bank. For 24 years, she was also employed as a legal secretary for attorneys Rauh, Thorne & Robinson. She had two siblings, John Boss of Geronimo, OK and Mary Boss Stonehacker of Riverside, CA. Rev. Harold Canaday officiated Rachel's memorial, she was a member of the Nazarene church. From +1910-1920+, Rachel's father John Boss was farming three miles south of Texico, Curry, N.M., and regarded as a pioneer of that community. In 1925, he was a check clerk for the Santa Fe railway, where he was still employed in 1941 (AT&SF), with the family residing in the latter year at 403 South C in Wellington. His parents were Johann "John" Boss, Sr. (b. 1856 Switzerland) & Rachel Ann Cole Patton-Boss (b. 1850 Jonesville, Lee, W.V.; m. 1881). In 1868, Rachel Cole Boss was a charter member of a management team for the [https://www.newspapers.com/image/891064444 PSFES], a Presbyterian society that sought to assist in the schooling of girls in impoverished circumstances. John Boss Sr. first came to the U.S. at the age of 16, on the [https://www.norwayheritage.com/p_ship.asp?sh=vanda ''Vandalia''], porting at New Orleans. In +1880-1882+, he was a farmhand in Milam Co., Texas. In 1973, Tommy was working for [https://www.newspapers.com/image/8678367 Nationwide Exterminating Co.] @ 302-B N.
