He was a commander of the D.A.V. in Fort Monmouth, and an Army veteran of WWII. He resided in Plainfield before moving to Oceanport in 1963.

He worked many years for Haagen-Dazs Ice Cream Co., and the Orange Co. school system. He was a member of Shady Grove Baptist, and attended Faith Baptist.
- Moses A. Cappiello 1924-1942+ (b. 1924 Orange, NJ - d. 1975 Glen Ridge, Essex, NJ). Moses served 1943-1946 in WWII. He moved to West Caldwell in 1956, and was an employee of the Clayton Container Corp. in Lodi for 16 years.
- Elijah "Lee" Cappiello 1932-1950+ (b. 1932 Orange, NJ). Wife (1961 @ UMC, Rutherford, NJ): Christine V. Hess Cappiello, daughter of Christian W. Hess (b. 1900 NYC, NY - d. 1991 Lincoln Park, NJ). Christian was a longtime member of Rutherford UMC, and Evermans Bible Class. Lee was a teacher in 1961 in Clifton, NJ.

Frank served in Germany as a Technician 4th grade with the 106th Infantry during WWII, and was a P.O.W. from 1944-1946 at Stalag.
- Benjamin "Ben" Cappiello (1965-1968)-2018 (b. 1927 Orange, NJ - d. 2018 Roseland, Essex, NJ). Wife: Elizabeth "Betty" Ann Doney Cappiello (1965-1968)-2020 (b. 1926 Carbondale, Lackawanna, PA - d. 2020 Roseland, NJ). Ben was a Navy veteran of WWII. After the war, he was employed many years for the DL&W railroad, a welder in Greenland for I.T.T., and a refrigerator technician for AT&T. As per his obit, he also built and raced three quarter midget cars. Elizabeth was raised in Seelyville, PA. She moved to Orange in 1945 to work with the Office of Military Benefits during WWII, and settled in Roseland in 1963. She was later a case worker for the Essex Co. Welfare Board.
- David "Sea Cap" A. Cappiello (1965-1968)-2019 (1935-2019 Orange, NJ). David served in Europe in the Army 1955-1957. Then he served with Prudential Insurance in Newark, and in sales with Kristin Distributing & F&A Distributors in Bayonne. He was also a Scout leader, as well as a baseball and softball coach. He was saved on Jan. 18, 1965 while reading John 3:16. Wife (1959 @ Orange, NJ): Myra A. Saffarewich Cappiello (1965-1968)+

In 1950, Joseph was employed in Waterbury as a press operator for a brass manufacturing company.
