    • 1916-2:
      • "Both by word of mouth (on the occasion of a short visit to his home, a few months ago) and by letter, our brother, David Keating, at Regina, Sask., assures us how feels his solitude, and how earnestly he longs for some brother to sojourn there, and preach the gospel. Let us pray for this dear brother."

Nevision family

In 1862, the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Fenelon Falls, ON where they remained thru 1881, and the family was Canadian Methodist that latter year. +1886-1889+ @ Regina, SK. 1891 @ Moose Jaw, SK. Thomas and his children were "Christian", and Louisa was Baptist. 1899-1907+ @ Rosthern, SK. In 1911, the family (inc. five children) resided in Prince Albert, SK and were registered as Baptist, remaining there for the duration of Thomas' life. In 1905-1907+, Thomas was serving as the Mayor of Rosthern. See Saskatoon Star-Phoenix article, and also next page for a photo of Thomas. The article indicates that Thomas served for six years on the Rosthern school board, and "in the triple capacity of chairman, treasurer and inspector". He was one of two town councillors for two years.

It is also worth noting that in 1881, Thomas' parents and siblings were registered as "Bible Christian", residing in Uxbridge Twp., Durham, ON. His father, John, was employed then as a harness maker. Previously in 1871, the family was "Christian", while residing in Fenelon Falls, also interesting because in 1904, there was an open brethren assembly in that area of what is now Kawartha Lakes, Ontario.
