Archibald John Thompson was born Jul. 21, 1855 at Harbour Grace, Newfoundland, Canada.
Marriage
Archibald's first wife was Hannah Jane Turner (b. 1861 St. John's, NFL), they were married Jan. 10, 1883 at Hannah's father's residence, officiated by Rev. Percival, in St. John's. The family emigrated to Boston, MA on June 25, 1888, and Hannah died in 1899 in Revere, MA.
Children
- Bertram Renel Thompson (b. 1883 NFL) during WWI worked as a laundryman for J. Frank James in Manchester, New Hampshire. In 1911 in Revere, MA he married Margaret Theresa Watson (b. 1887 Castlebar, Ireland).
- Herbert Rex Thompson (b. 1886 NFL - d. 1971 Ludlow, MA) m. Lessie Briggs (b. 1887 Williamsburg, MA - d. 1976 Springfield, MA)
