History
There was a French open brethren assembly in Fabre, Québec from 1992-1997.
At the outset of the nineties, a few interested persons began meeting together in the home of a young woman, Lilianne Laforest, who had recently returned to her native village following studies at Bethel Bible Institute in Sherbrooke. After two years, believers began meeting for the Lord's Supper and this continued for about five years. The handful of believers was encouraged by occasional visits from assembly workers elsewhere in the Abitibi region of the province. Among these were commended workers Daniel Blanchet and his wife Bonnie who travelled the 65 miles from Rollet twice a month to give a helping hand.
