The 1948 Workers and Elders Conference was held on Oct. 28-30 at Parkside Gospel Chapel, 910 Santiago, San Francisco, California, the contact was Howard E. Jones.

Walter Purcell of Portland, Oregon reported in Letters of Interest: 1949-2 reported: "I have been away for five weeks, helping in Castro Valley, Calif., and attending the Workers Conference at San Francisco. As the Lord stirs up our hearts to a longing for Himself and a looking on the fields we can see signs of revived interest among the people of God."

In the same issue, William M. Rae, also of Portland, reported: "Have just returned from a six-weeks visit in parts of Iowa, Kansas, and California, taking in the Christian Workers Conference at San Francisco. I believe it was profitable."
