F.W. Schwartz, Detroit: Writing from Cadillac:

"My dear brother in Christ: Replying to your inquiry: There has been a considerable amount of work done in Western and Northern Michigan within the last few years, with gratifying results, and God is still blessing His word in these parts. In addition to the older assemblies there are now little gatherings in Sheridan, Cadillac, Bellaire, and Otsego, while recently there has been a little reviving of the work in Kalamazoo.

In addition to these places there are others in which there is a good ear for the Gospel and in which a regular Gospel testimony is being maintained, such as Sherman City, Coopersville, Casnovia. In Coopersville, Bro. Wm. Pell is operating a Gospel Tent this month (June). He purposes (D. V.) to pitch in Ludington later. An interesting work has been carried on in that city thru the distribution of Gospel literature.

Other brethren who have recently had a share in the work are P. Pell, L. Sheldrake, T. Wilkie, J. Rae, W. Ferguson, F.W. Schwartz, J. Neiboer and a few of the local brethren from the Grand Rapids assembly. During last summer a Gospel Trailer was operated in a number of towns in this region and quite an interest was observed in some of them. As a result of tent and schoolhouse work a number were saved.

The work continues with encouragement, and it is hoped that the present summer’s work will, with God’s blessing, result in still more being reached.
