Scharf family
William's parents and siblings were Wesleyan Methodist in 1851 in Woodstock, with exception of him and his twin brother George, who were "C. Bap" (Baptist?). James was employed as a blacksmith and wagonmaker at this time. By 1861, William was married and residing in March Twp., Carleton Co., Ontario (now part of Ottawa), he and his wife Sarah Ellen were CoE at this point. By 1871, they were in Templeton, and he and his wife and children were all PB. In 1881, they were Wesleyan Methodist, while residing in Templeton West. By 1889, they had relocated to Lorne, Selkirk, MB and were back with the PB, for the remainder of their lives. William was the first correspondent of the meeting room in La Riviere, which met in Lui Scharf's home in +1894+, and in his from +1896-1911+, and is still active today.

Husband: Chester Spearman (1852-1914 Goulborn, Ottawa, ON), son of John Spearman (1832-1889) & Maria Chapman Spearman (1832-1906). In 1881, both were CoE (parents John & Maria were lifelong CoE), and resided in Goulborn, Carleton Co., ON. Chester owned a saw mill.
- Robert William Scharf +1871+ (b. 1863 Bells Corners, Ottawa, ON - d. 1936 Arras, BC). From +1894-1896+, Robert resided in Manitou, Pembina, MB and had an assembly in his home, at least in +1894+. See Manitou Meeting Room.

- Lydia Scharf Scales-Legge +1871+ (b. 1866 Gatineau, QC - d. 1948 La Riviere, Pilot Mound, MB). 1st husband (1887 @ Winnipeg, MB): Edward Joseph Scales (b. 1861 ON - d. 1920 Winnipeg, MB), son of Joseph Hanover Scales (1820-1902) & Mary Magrath Scales (1828-1872). 2nd husband (1924 @ Pembina, MB): George Legge (b. 1872 England - d. 1942 La Riviere, MB). George was employed by William Scharf in 1901 as a farm laborer, and resided with the family in Pembina, having immigrated from England in 1894, and was in fellowship with the PB. In 1931, George owned a hardware store in Pembina.
- Isabella Scharf McIntyre-Horn +1871+ (b. 1868 Templeton, QC - d. 1941 Medicine Hat, AB). 1st husband (1888 @ Lorne, Selkirk, MB): Malcolm Brown McIntyre (b. 1866 Ramsay, Lanark, ON - d. 1893 Pembina, MB), son of John McIntyre (b. 1823 Scot.) & Lydia McIntyre (b. 1834 ON). 2nd husband: James Alfred Horne (b. 1869 Almonte, Lanark, ON - d. 1949 Medicine Hat, AB)
- Alexander "Alex" Manson Horne (b. 1909 Kingsley, MB - d. 1943). Warrant Officer II Horne was an air bomber with the RCAF, and killed in action on March 6th, 1943, "believed to have been shot down by a night fighter off Texel Island during a raid on Essen", Germany. He was with the 49th Squadron Unit, in a Lancaster III bomber.

Wife: Rhoda Ann Anderson Scharf (b. 1875 Portland, L&G, ON - d. 1949 La Riviere, Pilot Mound, MB), daughter of John Anderson (b. 1846 Ireland - d. 1923 Frankville, L&G, ON) & Mahala Elizabeth Chapman Anderson (b. 1850/1851 Portland, L&G, ON; m. 1867 L&G, ON; d. 1926 L&G, ON). John & Mahala were in fellowship +1881-1921+ with what is now Rideau Ferry Meeting Room in Leeds Co., ON.
