Formerly of the West Side Assembly in [[Ohio|Cleveland]]. She was aged 92. A kindly sister. She leaves a sister in [[Ontario]]." * Edith (Baker?) Widow of our faithful laborer in the Gospel, who predeceased her several years ago, she was, with him, a faithful pioneer'''s wife, humble, godly and a true helpmeet. She was an asset to the testimony, kindly and true. We miss all such. This past year she went to the Home here, we saw her on our last visit, now in His presence." * Doris L. WIS: Longport, N.J.: "Our dear brother Fred E. Fisk "went home" June 12th, aged 88. Our brother was for years in the Ferndale, [[Michigan]] Assembly but has been in the Home here for a number of years. Quiet and courteous, he loved the Assembly and was glad to be identified with the Lord's own gathered to His Name."

** Nov. WIS: Longport, N.J.: "Our beloved sister Miss Margaret Kilpatrick went to be with the Lord, having passed her 100th birthday, Sept. 3rd. It was a happy release for her. She was a woman who knew her Lord and enjoyed much fellowship with Him. Unable to see or hear of late, she passed the declining years peacefully here. We knew her for many years. She was intelligent in the Scriptures, a lover of those who put God first and she had good discernment. Now with Himself."

** Feb. WIS: Longport, N.J.: "Our dear sister Mrs. Alvie Watson "went home" to be with the Lord Jan. 4th, aged 86. In fellowship for years in the West Side Assembly, before that in Detroit in East Side Assembly, and for the past 8 years in the Home for Aged here where she maintained a happy, quiet spirit and ended well. The saints of Cleveland West Side assembly knew her well, she was a daughter of our aged and esteemed brother Mr. Lansdowne, one of the fathers of the assembly. She leaves one son in Detroit, [[Michigan|Mich]]."

** May WIS: '''Philadelphia, [[Pennsylvania|PA]]''': "Our dear sister Mrs. Sarah Thompson went home suddenly while in the Longport Home, after just a week's residency there on Jan. 27th in her 80th year. Our sister was long in fellowship, earlier in Mascher St. Assembly, then Olney Assembly. They were very faithful in attending the meetings. Remember in prayer her aged husband, aged 90, who has "this blessed hope" of His Coming."

** Sept. WIS: Longport, N.J.: "Our esteemed brother Samuel Brady "went home" July 23rd in his 97th year. A very worthy brother, with a love for the old paths of the Word and bore a bright testimony during his life as a Christian. He loved to talk over the Word and helped around the Home as long as he was able, now in the presence of the One he loved to enjoy "the eternal sabbath" of Hebrews 4:9. Of a cheery and happy disposition, he gave a ray of light to others."

Our dear sister was born on May 23, 1896 in Fall River, [[Massachusetts|MA]] and born again in 1909. She came into the Home at Longport in 1982. Previously, she was in fellowship in the assembly at Sunnyslope, [[Arizona]] for many years. Mary Brown was a quiet and godly sister in Christ who will be missed."** May WIS additions: Longport, N.J.: Mary was "born again in 1909". "Her brother, Andrew Reid, is the correspondent of the assembly in Ferndale, [[Michigan|MI]]."

** T&T: With Christ: "'''Fred Taylor''' of '''Bryn Mawr, [[Pennsylvania|PA]]''' on May 25, age 86. Our beloved brother came from Ireland in 1927 and obtained work on an estate where Christians worked with him. They brought him to gospel meetings where he first learned that he needed to be born again. Oswald MacLeod spoke that night on John 3. Bro. Taylor was saved in 1927 through the truth of John 6:37. Faithful to the assembly, concerned that it be preserved in scriptural ways, he served the Lord and the assembly as an overseer for years. Shortly after he lost his wife in 1977, he went to the Longport home. Prayer is requested for the salvation of his only grandson."** WIS: Bryn Mawr, PA: "Our aged brother, Fred Taylor, age 86, slipped away quietly into the Lord's presence on May 25, after a prolonged time of weakness. He was the first in his family to be saved and the only one in that generation who confessed Christ. He came from Ireland in 1927 and obtained work on an estate where Christians worked with him. They brought him to gospel meetings and in the years afterward, he referred to the time when he first learned he needed to be born again. Brother Oswald MacLeod spoke that night from John 3. In the fall of 1929 he trusted Christ through the truth of John 6:37. His life was marked by faithfulness to the assembly and a concern that it be preserved in scriptural ways. He served as an overseer for many years. Shortly after the loss of his wife in 1977, he went to the Home at Longport. His son, Fred, along with his wife are in the Bryn Mawr Assembly. Prayer is requested for the salvation of his only grandson."

** With Christ: "'''Roger Greer''' of '''Bryn Mawr, [[Pennsylvania|PA]]''' on June 16, age 81. Our dear brother was saved in Ireland at the age of 12 and came to the U.S. in 1926. In the thirties, he spent time laboring in the gospel, but moved in 1936 to Bryn Mawr, where he served as an elder for over 30 years. Our brother was a help in the Longport Home, serving on the board of directors. He had an excellent knowledge of Scripture and a deep love for the preaching of the gospel. His manner of expressing himself was inimitable."
* Geraldine Merritt "Aunt Cherry" Macmillan 1972-1987 (1888-1987)** T&T: With Christ: "'''Mrs. Geraldine Macmillan''' of Longport, N.J. on Sept. 4. Our dear sister was born in Shantung, [[China]] of missionary parents in 1988 and was born again at the age of 14. With her husband, she lived in the [[Massachusetts|Boston]] area for many years. She came to the Longport Home in 1972. Mrs. Macmillan was a happy, satisfied Christian, affectionately known to many as "Aunt Cherry." One son, Francis, survives."** Oct. WIS: Longport, N.J.: "Our beloved sister, Mrs. Geraldine MacMillan, age 99, went to be with Christ on Sept. 3. She was born in [[China]], the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Merritt, who were missionaries. They returned to the U.S.A. just prior to the Boxer Uprising in 1900. She was saved at the age of 14 and was part of the old Cliff Street Assembly in Boston until 15 years ago when she came to the Longport Home. She was affectionately known as Aunt Cherry, the name Cherry having been given her by a Chinese nurse who cared for her at her birth. She was known for her warmth, love and spirituality. She was the oldest of the residents at the Home when she passed away."
