[[Assemblee Chretienne de Riviere-du-Loup, QC|Assemblee ChretienneAssemblée Chrétienne]], RiviereRivière-du-Loup, Kamouraska, Bas-Saint-Laurent, Southeast [[Quebec|Québec]], [[Canada]] is a French open brethren assembly founded cain 1975. The beginnings of this assembly date to 1975and the arrival of Joseph Tremblay, a converted Roman Catholic priest, in November of that year. His wife, the former Jessie McGowan, had already been in the work for a number of years prior to their marriage in 1969. Thanks to the radio and television ministry, l’[[''Heure de la Bonne Nouvelle'']], of ][Gaston Jolin]], a number of good contacts were already available in the area and meetings were immediately begun as was a local radio program ''Paroles d’en haut''. The following year the assembly moved to the basement of the Tremblay home which had been renovated for that purpose. By the early 1980s, a modern recording studio had also been installed in the Tremblay home. Given the sparseness of the population in the rural setting of the Gaspé coast along with the reticence of practicing Catholics to frequent an evangelical church, especially where everyone knew everyone else in the community, radio broadcasting was the ideal tool for blanketing the area with the gospel. The assembly prospered and an annual conference was begun in 1977. Attendees arriving from around the province were housed and fed by the local assembly. Since 1987, meetings have been held in larger quarters at the local Cégep or junior college. In 1989, a hive-off left the assembly somewhat weakened but resulted in the establishment of another work located some 55 kilometers away at Cabano, now known as Témiscouata-sur-le-lac. Joseph Tremblay went home to be with the Lord in March 2006; Jessie continued to serve along with others in connection with this assembly. Four years later, the assembly purchased a brick building on one of the main streets of the city. Meetings have carried on in this new, store-front location since May 2010.
