She bore a quiet testimony and suffered much and patiently this last number of years being confined to home, hospital and nursing homes; now at rest with the Lord. The funeral serve in Detroit was taken by William Pell and at the cemetery in Bay City by William Mowat."

* John T. McKean '''1951-1967''' (1889-1967); T&T 1967-6: "Our aged brother, John T. McKean, was called home on March 24th, in his 88th yeaer. Born in Leadhills, [[Scotland]], and saved when a lad in his teens, he came to the U.S.A. in 1901. He was in fellowship in Upper Peninsula and Detroit Assemblies and for the last 16 years at West Chicago Blvd. and Stark Road, being faithful in attendance at meeting. He loved to hear the gospel preached and witnessed for the Saviour to all with whom he came in contact. Samuel Barr spoke a faithful word to a good company at the funeral service."

She had been at Bible reading on the Tuesday evening two nights before. Saved in Detroit when around 18 years of age, she was received into Assembly fellowship in the old Central Gospel Hall, and for the last number of years was in happy fellowship in the West Chicago Assembly, Detroit, and Stark Road, Livonia (suburb of Detroit). She was kind, given to hospitality, loved by all who knew her and will be missed. A large company came for the funeral which was held in the Stark Road Gospel Hall, Livonia. R. Surgenor and W. Warke took the service, and T. Kember read, and P. Elliott prayed at the grave. Remember her husband and servant of the Lord in prayer."

She was saved in the Upper Peninsula on [[Michigan]] when a girl in her teens and came to Detroit where she was in fellowship with the assembly at West Chicago Blvd. and Stark Road for the last 22 years of her life. She loved the Lord and His saints. Afflicted with a a bronchial condition, she attended what meetings she possibly could. Sam Barr spoke words of comfort and warning to a goodly company who came to the funeral."

After some years in fellowship at Toronto, with Mrs. Walker he moved some 30 years ago (1924) to Detroit, where they have since been in fellowship with Central and West Chicago Blvd. assemblies. Faithfully served the Lord and maintained a consistent testimony, he will be missed by his wife, two sons, three daughters and several grandchildren."
