John Beach (b. 1623 St. Albans, Devon, [[England|Eng.]] - d. 1677 Stratford, [[Connecticut|CT]]) emigrated to New Haven, [[Connecticut|CT]] in '''1643'''. One of his descendants, Elihu Beach, Jr., was the first child born in Waterbury, [[Connecticut|CT]] in 1764, served in the Revolutionary War in 1780, and emigrated in 1811 to Elizabethtown (now Brockville), Leeds, [[Ontario]].
In 1855, another of John's descendants, Joseph Beach, with his wife Clara, emigrated to Township 105 Range 5, Winona County, [[Minnesota|MN]]. In 1904, Joseph's son Ira James Beach (b. 1855 Elizabethtown, ON - d. 1934 Seattle, [[Washington|WA]]) was correspondent for the open brethren [[Nodine Gospel Hall, MN]] that met in the New Hartford Town Hall, which is now an antiques shop.
