The assembly in Edmonton was planted by the work of God in the hearts of people through the faithful labour of His servant, Leslie M. Grant. . A small number of brothers and sisters in Christ, who fellowshipped among the Booth-Grant associated assemblies, moved into the area. Among them was Thomas Blake and Sara Letts who grew up fellowshipping at the meeting in Sunnybank, AB. For a number of years, Leslie M. Grant laboured in Edmonton as well as Westlock, preaching the gospel and teaching the believers . In 1956, Leslie and his family moved to Edmonton. Shortly after this move, Gilbert and Mary Grant also moved in these localitieswith Leslie for 5 years before moving to their own apartment. The believers met in the home of Leslie M. and Francis Grant until they purchased a lot at 8108 130 Avenue N.W., Edmonton, AB. Carl    Carl Grant, Leslie and Francis' eldest son, remembers helping his dad build the hall in 1963/64as a teenager. Ten years later, the culmination in many reunions among the 'exclusive,' or guarded/closed table assemblies occurred in 1974 bringing the little assembly in Edmonton into fellowship with what is commonly referred to as the 'Reunited" or 'Kelly-Lowe-Continental' group.
