Edward died in 1952, as reported by a June 1952 Truth & Tidings, credited as "saved in 1918 during first meetings held there by O.G. Smith.  Was correspondent for the assembly from its beginning.  Funeral conducted in Garnavillo Gospel Hall by O.G. Smith.<br /><br />In 1956, there was a “School of Missions” series teacher named Frances Osthoff that was honored at St. Luke’s Methodist in Dubuque.
