* L&L 1943-12: "James Farquharson, D.C. passed away very suddenly on Oct. 19. He was at the usual meetings on the Lord's Day and appeared to be in good health and was in a very happy frame of mind. He had a heart attack in the early hours of Tuesday morning and was with His Lord before his wife could do anything for him. He was associated with Swanwick Gospel Hall, Toronto, since 1915, and always took a keen interest in the affairs of the Assembly.  He was superintendent of the Sunday School for a number of years, and was secretary for the Assembly for the last 3 or 4 years. He endeared himself to all the saints by his cheery and gracious disposition and will be much missed in the Assembly. His only son, Robert, is stationed in [[England]] with the R. C.A.M.C. and the sudden homecall of his father must have been a great shock to him. Remember the widow and son in prayer."  * Dr. James Robert Farquharson '''+19411915-1943+'''(b. 1888 Vespra, Simcoe, ON - d. 1943 Toronto, ON), son of John Farquharson (b. 1848 Strathdon, Aberdeen, Scot. - d. 1921 Barrie, Simcoe, ON) & Janet Dick Orok Farquharson (b. 1848 Kirkliston, Linlithgow, Scot. - d. 1937 Barrie, ON).
