**** C.S. Pierce served as mayor of Brodhead. He served as president of the Wisconsin Phonograph Operators' Association, and with his wife Marie, the Pierce Music Co. (+1930-1952+) that provided jukebox rental to schools, youth centers, etc. for $20/mo with servicing every two weeks replacing records.
