* Carl Swearingen Byrum +1991 (b. 1922 Franklin, Simpson, KY - d. 1991 Newburgh, Warrick, [[Indiana|IN]]), son of Alonzo Carlton Byrum (b. 1864 Springfield, Robertson, KY - d. 1950 Clarksville, Montgomery, [[Tennessee|TN]]) & Esma Swearingen Byrum (b. 1877 Middleton, Simpson, KY - d. 1930 Franklin, KY). Navy veteran WWII & Kentucky Colonel. Retired in 1985 as Deputy Fire Chief of the Detroit Fire Dept., in [[Michigan]], after 42 years of service. Honorary member of the Newburgh Volunteer Fire Dept.
