He married Hazel Wiseman Hathaway (b. 1908 - d. 1989 Littleton, CO). Claude was a son of Frank Edward Hathaway (b. 1876 Paxton, Ford, [[Illinois|IL]] - d. 1969 Co. Springs, CO) who was responsible for planting early assemblies in Colorado Springs, both TW exclusive and open assemblies. Frank was a son of Edward B. Hathaway (b. 1839 Walnut, Pickaway, OH - d. 1883 Argenta, Macon, IL) & Margaret H. Newkirk Hathaway (b. 1840 Lancaster, Fairfield, OH - d. 1935 Co. Springs, CO). Frank's wife was Eva Lillian Macy Hathaway (b. 1878 Belle Plaine, Benton, [[Iowa|IA]] - d. 1952 Co. Springs, CO), daughter of Oliver W. Macy (b. 1850 Miami Co., [[Ohio|OH]] - d. 1914 Clinton, DeWitt, IL) & Fraida Robert Macy (b. 1853 Switzerland - d. 1884 Vinton, Benton, IA) who were likely in fellowship with the Loizeaux brothers. *** Claude's friend Bob Noles was the first pastor, who was a student at [[Wheaton College]] with Al Salter & Billy Graham.
