From at least 1878 thru 1880, Samuel Coward Silverwood (b. 1853 Mirfield, York, [[England|Eng.]] - d. 1883 Muskoka Falls, [[Ontario|ON]]) resided in Huntsville, affiliated with the exclusive brethren. In 1875, Samuel was registered as a Methodist, and his wife was a Congregationalist.
He was a son of John Silverwood (b. 1820 Barnsley, York, Eng. - d. 1898 Muskoka Falls, ON) & Mary Clark Silverwood (b. 1819 Eng.; m. 1841 Darton, AS, Eng.; d. 1897 Muskoka Falls, ON). In 1862, Samuel resided in Sheffield, England. In 1875 in Muskoka Falls, he married Martha Jane Clark Silverwood (b. 1853 Norwich, Eng. - d. 1932 Toronto, ON), daughter of William Clark & Margaret Clark.
By 1886, open brethren were meeting as what is now known as the [[Huntsville Gospel Hall, ON|Huntsville Gospel Hall]] which meets to this day.
