Dr. William W. France was born near Blairstown, New Jersey on Jan. 21, 1831, the son of Richard and Isabella France, and moved to Delaware around 1862, and to Milford, DE in 1867 where he practiced [[http://brethrenpedia.org/index.php/Medicine|dentistry]] for forty years. Dr. France married Lanah Hankison on July 4, 1853 in Stillwater, New Jersey at the First Presbyterian Church. She was born Aug. 28, 1830, the daughter of Thomas & Elsey Hankinson, from Hardwick, Warren Co., NJ., and died Aug. 1, 1925.
