History
In 1866, Jule Calame bought a plot of 40 acres and settled in Nokomis, which is when it is presumed a meeting was started, with him as correspondent. His brother, Edward Calame, purchased 40 acres and also settled in Nokomis around 1871, and was listed as correspondent by at least 1878 (the earliest TW address book available). It is believed that after 1911, the group merged with Witt Meeting Room, IL where they stayed.
Frederic Guillaume Calame, was led to Christ by John Nelson Darby in the 1840's before his sons Jule and Edward emigrated to the St. Louis area in 1848 where they were met by Brethren from that area.
