=Ministry Reports=
* L&L 1948-2: Leonard E. Brough, 2905 Power House Rd., Yakima, [[Washington|WA]]: Jan. 5: "On my first visit to Southern Texas, Houston, Pineview, Melrose, South Houston and Manvel (where meetings are now in progress) have been visited. One precious soul professed salvation."
* L&L 1948-3: With the Lord: "T.C. Bush, an honored servant of the Lord, of Waxahachie, Texas, departed on Feb. 7, to be with Christ, whom he loved and served for over fifty years. For more than a year, extreme weakness of body kept him comparatively inactive and at home the most of the time. His going is a distinct loss to the church, and will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. Leonard Sheldrake of Kansas City, and R. Curry of Houston had charge of the funeral service. The body was laid to rest in the family cemetery at Waxahachie to await the glad and happy days of our Lord's return. A large number of Christians were present from Ft. Worth, Dallas, Houston, Pineview, Manvel and other places, also a host of local friends. He is survived by his widow and son William N. Bush, also a sister, Mrs. Eugenia B. Cox of St. Louis, Mo."
* L&L 1948-7: "F.W. Schwartz (Detroit, MI) has been spending some weeks in the South, with encouragement. Three weeks were spent in Houston, Texas vicinity, including Manvel, Melrose and South Houston. The saints there were appreciative. Also visited were New Orleans and Lafayette, La., in both of which places a good work is being done. Moving northward he touched Dallas, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Wichita, Hutchinson, in each of which places God gave help to bring a little encouragement and cheer to His own. Laborers in these fields are few, and should have the prayers of God's people."
* LOI 1948-8: F.W. Schwartz:
===1949===
* L&L , LOI & AA 1949:9-10: Houston, TX: "The 48th annual conference of Christians gathered according to Matthew 18:20, in the Houston district, will be held in the Gospel Hall, 2402 Louisiana St., on Oct. 21-23, with prayer meeting on the 20th. This will be a joint conference of all the meetings: Houston, Pineview, Manvel, Melrose and South Houston. Visitors are requested to advise of their coming a little in advance. All will be entertained by the saints as usual. Correspondent: H.W. Dedman, 414 Union National Bank Bldg., Houston, TX."

I joined the group from the Houston assemblies and we distributed thousands of gospel tracts in Brownsville, Tex., as the Mexicans crossed the border. Will continue in this area as He leads and then hope to head back to the out islands of the Bahamas."
