John F. Miller, Chicago, [[Illinois]]:
"Accompanied by the two King sisters left Sturgis, [[Michigan]] stopping in St. Louis and Springfield, [[Missouri]], leaving the King sisters at Alpena Pass, [[Arkansas]]. Came to Henryetta, [[Oklahoma]] where there is a small assembly meeting in a brother’s home. Have had gospel meetings in Henryetta and Atoka, Oklahoma. In the latter place there was an assembly (founded by Brother M. Capp) but the sheep have been scattered for lack of a shepherd.
In these parts Adventists are busy preaching law. It makes one wonder why we who know the Grace of God are sometimes less zealous than those under the law. May I add that the people in all these places are so poor that they cannot even buy hymn books. Recently we had 25 Redemption Hymn books sent us, but if any assembly has Believers Hymn books not in use we would appreciate them."
