Alice remained in Kansas City 1952-1953 to finish out her senior year at the original [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shawnee_Mission_North_High_School Shawnee Mission High School], while residing with her cousin Wayne Matthews and his family. She attended [https://www.ksbiblecamp.org/home/index.php Kansas Bible Camp] which met in the 1940's at a rented location at a YMCA camp near Stafford.
