From +1878-1896+, Robert was correspondent of the Lombardy Meeting Room, which became Rideau Ferry.*** Mary Wood (b. 1843 S.E. Twp., ON- d. ?). Wife (1884): Frances "Fannie" Elizabeth Wood (b. 1864 Kitley, L&G, ON - d. 1928 Lanark Co., ON). John & Fannie were CoE thru 1891, and PB by 1901 @ Lombardy. It should be noted that in 1891, both of their live-in staff, Harmon Anderson & Jennie Looby, were PB while John & Fannie were still CoE, and by 1901, John and his wife and children were all PB. No doubt, the fact that John's brother Robert was the earliest correspondent at the Lombardy assembly (which became Rideau Ferry) from +1878-1896+, that likely played a strong role as well. Also in +1901+, Ema J. Wood (b. 1875 ON), PB then, resided with John & Fannie, the census identifies her as a sister-in-law to John... might be a wife of Andrew or James, perhaps widowed at that point.**** Charles "Wilbert" Wood (1885-1905 S.E. Not finding 1911 census for Virene yet, but in 1921, she and William were PB, and residing in Cumberland Twp., now part of Ottawa, therefore they were likely in fellowship with the Ottawa Meeting Room then. That year, William's father James resided with them, but was a lifelong Presbyterian. By 1931, William & Virene were UCC.***** Norman Kenneth Johnston (b. 1929 U.S. - d. 1994 Ottawa, ON) - adopted in 1930 from the U.S. Wife: Evelyn Rose Coulis Johnston (b. 1928 - d. 1991 Ottawa, ON).****** Lorne Johnston.
