In 1862, the family immigrated to Canada, settling in Fenelon Falls, ON where they remained thru 1881, and the family was Canadian Methodist that latter year. +1886-1889+ @ Regina, SK. 1891 @ Moose Jaw, SK. Thomas and his children were "Christian", and Louisa was Baptist. 1899-1907+ @ Rosthern, SK. In 1911, the family (inc. five children) resided in Prince Albert, SK and were registered as Baptist, remaining there for the duration of Thomas' life. In 1905-1907+, Thomas was serving as the Mayor of Rosthern. See [https://www.newspapers.com/image/507501425/ Saskatoon Star-Phoenix] article, and also [https://www.newspapers.com/image/507501439 next page] for a photo of Thomas. The article indicates that Thomas served for six years on the Rosthern school board, and "in the triple capacity of chairman, treasurer and inspector". He was one of two town councillors for two years.
It is also worth noting that in 1881, Thomas' parents and siblings were registered as "Bible Christian", residing in Uxbridge Twp., Durham, ON. His father, John, was employed then as a harness maker. Previously in 1871, the family was "Christian", while residing in Fenelon Falls, also interesting because in 1904, there was an open brethren assembly in that area of what is now Kawartha Lakes, Ontario.

** Charles Gordon Nevison (b. 1898 Regina, SK - d. 1954 Niagara Falls, [[New York|NY]]). In 1937, Charles served as sergeant-at-arms for the Niagara Falls branch of the Canadian Corps Assoc. Wife (1921 @ Orillia, Simcoe, ON): Bernice Maud Hebener Nevison (b. 1899 Huntsville, ON), daughter of Hiram Hebener & Alice Houseman Hebener. In 1921, both Charles & Bernice were Presby. Charles was employed in Orillia as a fireman, and Bernice as a cook.
