LOI 1949-8 LOI: Richard Burson, Hutch., KS: "Last week a young man named Innes Koehn and I finished our Daily Vacation Bible School. We had an enrollment of 94 with an average attendance of 74."

* LOI 1950-3: Richard Burson, Box 3, Hutch., KS: "Last August a family named Koehn began to come over to Hutchison [sic] from Halstead, 20 miles away, each Lord's Day. They seemed to enjoy the meetings and were faithful in attendance. January 1st they were on their way to the hall for the gospel meeting they ran into a truck loaded with 2 1/2 inch pipe. Mrs. Koehn and her mother were both killed, and Mr. Koehn is in a hospital with two broken collar bones, compound fracture of right arm, chest bones broken, and he has coronary thrombosis and suffers from shock. I had the funeral at Halstead for the two women. It was large. There must have been many hundreds of people there, many of whom have not the gospel where they go. We trust that the gospel given then may bear fruit. There are five boys in the Koehn family. The mother and grandmother are in heaven, and the father is in the hospital and may never again be able to earn a livelihood. The prayers of God's people for this family are sincerely requested."

Henry's family immigrated to the U.S. in 1874, first to Hutchinson, then spending the winter in Florence, then Halstead. Henry made a profession of faith at the age of 16 and was baptized, and was ordained at the age of 20 by John Holdeman. Henry & Anna had 14 children, and resided various places in Kansas, California & Texas. * 1st wife (1922 @ Dodge City, KS): Edna McKittrick, daughter of E.T. McKittrick. Will & Edna were seniors in high school when they married.* 2nd wife: Laurine Tina Becker Koehn '''1949-1950''' (b. 1909 Goltry, Alfalfa, OK - d. 1950 Hutch., KS), daughter of Peter Jacob Becker (b. 1881 KS) & Elizabeth "Lena" P. Unruh Becker '''1949-1950''' (b. 1881 KS - d. 1950). Lena was a sister of Malinda Jantz, whose husband Leslie was the 2nd correspondent of the assembly +1958-1976+.** Frank Elmer Koehn (b. 1923 Cimarron, Gray, KS - d. 1983 Chunchula, Mobile, AL). Wife: Myrtle Reed Sullivan Koehn (b. 1923 Washington, AL - d. 1990 Chunchula, AL)
