No known relation to Albert Edward Booth (b. 1860 Canada - d. 1953 Pasadena, CA), a laboring brother.

Howard Kann was a Union soldier in Co. G, 138th Penn. Infantry in the Civil War, and shot in the arm at the Battle of the Wilderness in early May 1864. Howard had four daughters including Grace Cook, as well as Lillie May (b. 1878 Dickinson Co., KS - d. 1944 Walla Walla, WA) who married Jeptha Charles Thonney of Dixie, Walla Walla, WA.
